Q:When iTunes organizes music in the iTunes folder on your computer, is it safe to delete the others?
Basically, I turned on the iTunes preference to organize the music on my computer in the iTunes folder, but I ended up with two of every song. When they're copied into the iTunes folder on your computer, is it okay to go ahead and get rid of the other ones?

A:im not sure what u mean but u can just delete the songs that show up twice by opening iTunes > View > Show Duplicates

then ull get songs that are there more than once and u can delete the extras....

Q;How do you add songs from the iTunes store to a playlist in iTunes 9?
With the old version of iTunes, (iTunes 8) you could click and drag any song from the iTunes store to a playlist, and you could then gift those songs, or publish them as an iMix. With the new iTunes, (iTunes 9) the capability of clicking and dragging songs from the store to a playlist seems to be gone. Does anyone know of a way to add songs from the iTunes store to a playlist in iTunes 9?
Thank you!

A:At the bottom of the page you'll notice a "Wish List".
On the song you want to "save" go next to the price button and locate the arrow. Pull down the options. There will be a "save to Wish List". Select that, voila. When you open your "Wish List" that song will be there. I know it's a pain in the butt if you already have a huge play list of songs you're thinking of buying, but it's the only option I've found for now.

Q:How do I transfer songs from my itunes library to a new itunes library?
I am getting a new laptop and have iTunes on the laptop I own now. I am going to install iTunes on my new laptop and was wondering if there was an easier way to put the songs I have in my iTunes now onto the new iTunes. I could put all the songs in my itunes (all 278 of them) onto several CDs, but that will take a very long time. Can any of you help me? There has been a previous question about this but I can not find it.

If you have a usb drive then you can copy the music onto that and transfer the music to your new itunes. But you have to do it one by one with the music.

If you don't have a usb drive then go to buy.com or amazon.com or ebay .com

QHelp uninstalling itunes!?
A:iTunes can be very difficult to uninstall properly because of a number of registry keys left behind by other pieces of software that it works with. The article explains what you have to do step by step if you can’t uninstall iTunes using ADD/REMOVE programs. If you don’t completely uninstall it properly you will get all sorts of errors when trying to install a new copy… even if you try to write over your existing copy. This download saved me hours of aggravation and I did not lose my music

Q:How do I get Itunes to connect to the internet? My Itunes Store won't open. It gives me the message "Itunes could not connect to the Itunes Store. The Network Connection has timed out. Make sure your network settings are correct and your network connection is active, then try again." I don't even know what it means by my network settings. I have no idea how to change them or where I would find them on my computer. I also have no idea how to find my firewall to see if it is blocking Itunes. Someone please help me.

A:i'm pretty tech savvy, but not when it comes it these things. however i know that firewall icons can be found in the lower right hand tray of your monitor screen... where the time usually is. you could hover with your mouse over the icons to see which is... security, etc. then click. the word varies and depends on what the name of your antivirus/firewall system is. you could also try going to the start menu into all programs and look for anything relating to your security system..

Q:How to get songs from itunes to windows movie maker?
Ok ive tried everything.... Most people say to right click and hit "convert to mp3" only my version of itunes is messed up or something and instead says "cpnvert to aac" i know that thats not the right version and i dont know what to do. I've also tried changing my settings but my itunes is different for some reason so pleas help. Also i dont want to buy a converter. Any tips?

A quirk of iTunes is that the option in the context menu is tied into your cd import settings (i.e. If it is set to import CDs into AAC format the menu option will be Convert to AAC). To fix this just go to your preferences (Ctrl-, on a pc or Command-, on a Mac), going to "import settings", and changing the format to mp3.

Bear in mind, though, that apple probably won't let you do that if the songs were purchased over the iTunes store. A way to work around this, however, is to burn a cd in itunes with the songs you want to convert, and then import the cd using mp3. Voilà — DRM-free media in mp3.

Q:How do I make iTunes my default player of laptop?
I've been trying to copy my iTunes library onto my toshiba laptop, and it says that I can't because iTunes is not the default music player. I have no idea how to make it the default music player. Help? Easy 10 points if you're good with this stuff!

A:Mandanic...

Just right-click on a mp3 document and choose "Open With", then "Chose program" (if iTunes doesn't show up as an option), click the "Always use the selected program ..." box and hit OK.

You should do this for every document/media that you wish to make iTune the default player.

You will see the icon change with every change to the iTune icon.

Good luck..

Source(s):yahoo.com. i could be of more help, but have you tried restarting your computer? that always seems to solve problems for me.
